Bangkok--30 Sep--EXIM Thailand Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Thailand) appointed Mr. Suthanai Prasertsan, Senior Vice President of Information Technology Department and Acting First Vice President of Office of Risk Management, as Executive Vice President overseeing EXIM Thailand’s Information Technology system and risk management in accordance with the Bank of Thailand (BOT) guidelines and Basel II framework. EXIM Thailand also promoted Mr. Surapon Satimanont, Senior Vice President of Office of Legal Affairs and Debt Administration and Credit Procedure Department, to Executive Vice President in charge of compliance, debt and legal affairs administration. Mr. Surapon will oversee clients’ credit information processing, credit approval and collateral operations, debt collection and restructuring, contract preparation and other legal issues. The appointment takes effect on October 1, 2008. Mr. Suthanai earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Thammasat University and a Masters of Science degree from Chulalongkorn University. Holding a Certification of Control Self Assessment (CCSA), he is also a Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA). He has extensive work experience in computer and IT system management as Director of PricewaterhouseCoopers Thailand. He served as Senior Vice President, Internal Audit Department Head, BankThai Public Co., Ltd. before joining EXIM Thailand on September 1, 2007 as Senior Vice President of Information Technology Department and Acting First Vice President of Office of Risk Management. Mr. Surapon obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree from Ramkhamhaeng University and Masters of Laws from Southern Methodist University and Howard University, U.S.A. He also earned a Master of Arts (Business) from Webster University, U.S.A. He began his career at EXIM Thailand on June 1, 2008 as Senior Vice President of Office of Legal Affairs and Debt Administration and Credit Procedure Department. He also serves as Chairman of Audit Committee, Baan Rock Garden Public Co., Ltd.; Member of Audit Committee, Ratchthani Leasing Public Co., Ltd. and Southern Steel Co., Ltd.; and Member of Subcommittee on Legal Affairs and Contracts, State Railway of Thailand.
