Bangkok--7 Oct--Glow Energy
The Board of Directors of Glow has appointed Mr. Esa Heiskanen as a Director and CEO of the company with effect as of October 7, 2008, following the resignation of the current CEO Mr Peter Termote.
Peter Termote, who has resigned for personal reasons, steered Glow through a successful period of six and a half years, during which time the company improved its annual results by over 50%. This year, Glow has agreed new contracts which will increase its capacity by more than 50% by 2012. Mr Peter Termote will act as an advisor to the newly appointed CEO until December 1, 2008.
Mr. Esa Heiskanen has for the past four years served as Executive Vice President of Glow Group in charge of IPP Business Development, Construction Management & Engineering, Communication and Public& Government Affairs. He was previously Senior Business Developer for Tractebel Asia (now GDF Suez Energy Asia) based in Bangkok. Earlier in his career he was Managing Director of Laem Chabang Power Co., Ltd.
He holds a Masters degree in Science (Mechanical Engineering) from Helsinki University of Technology, Finland. Mr. Heiskanen has over 15 years’ experience in the international power generation business and working in Asia, and has spent the past 12 living in Thailand and working in the country’s power generation business.
