Bangkok--10 Oct--SET The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) has approved the listing of Centara Hotels and Resorts Leasehold Property Fund, which will be traded from October 13 on in the Property and Construction Group under the Property Development Sector, using “CTARAF” as its trading symbol, SET Executive Vice President Vichate Tantiwanich said. “I believe that this property fund is an attractive option under current volatile market conditions, as it could provide an uninterrupted flow of income to investors, particularly as the fund is involved with high-quality property,” Mr. Vichate added. The fund has a total registered capital of THB 3.2 billion (approx. US$92.75 million) and 320 million investment units at THB 10 par value. It held its IPO at a unit price of THB 10 during September 8-18, with Kasikorn Asset Management as its fund manager. CTARAF is a closed-end specific property fund that will purchase or lease property for investment. The fund hopes to profit from investment in the leasehold of Centara Grand Beach Resort Samui, a five-star hotel. The property is on Chaweng Beach in Samui District, Surat Thani Province and managed by Central Plaza Hotel PCL. CTARAF’s policy is to pay dividends to investment unit holders not more than four times per year, provided that the fund has recorded a net profit in the past accounting year. The amount paid will be not less than 90% of the net profit for that accounting year.
