Mr. Pornthep Watchara-amnuoy, Managing Director, ASUSTeK Computer (Thailand) Co., Ltd. discloses “Regard to success in launching Asus Eee PC netbook with 7”, 8.9”, and 10” screens in Thailand. Today ASUS R&D team steps ahead by unveiling ‘Eee Box’-the smallest PC in the world, which is one of ASUS Eee Family. It will be available for sales at 10,593 Baht (Including 7% VAT) at ComWold.”
“ASUS will awake IT market in 4th quarter by launching new product of ASUS Eee Family with latest technology, compact, light weight, and easy-to-carry. We expect sales volumes at 2,000 units (over 20 million Baht) in the last quarter.”
“From November onwards, we will launch a variety of Eee Family products in Thailand; including ‘Eee Top’ — LCD screen Computer with touch screen mode and ‘Eee Stick’ — compact and light accessory for Eee Family. It’s easy to carry and has same quality as normal PC. We believe Eee Family products will receive high response from both business sectors and end users,” adds Mr. Pornthep.
Mr. Pakorn Puttiboonsakul, Senior Account Management Manager mentions about Eee Box’s features “It’s the smallest PC in the world due to capacity at 1 liter of water (when comparing with water measurement) with new wireless 802.11n-the 6 times higher speed in connection together with ASUS Express Gate technology to boost up the PC within 7 seconds and increase energy saving up to 90% when comparing with other PC.”
“Because of compact size and light weight, Eee Box can be installed at the back of monitor and automatically run the system,” says Mr. Pakorn.
