A recent press conference held at TAT head office by Earth Wind and Fire Company Limited, organisers of Thailand International Balloon Festival 2008 (TIBF), predicted a best-ever event for 2008 with more than 300,000 spectators and enthusiasts flocking to witness competing hot air balloons and their teams from USA, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Netherland, South Africa, Czech Republic, Sweden, Denmark, Belgium, Austria and Malaysia.
Providing an aerial showcase of more than 60 balloons in Thailand’s acclaimed ballooning conditions, Thailand International Balloon Festival 2008 takes place at Khao Yai, War Dog Battalion, Pak Chong, Nakornratchasima from 3 - 7 December 2008.

The Thailand International Balloon Festival is the largest outdoor event in Thailand and South East Asia's largest balloon festival with over 60 balloons in the sky!
This event, held at Khao Yai (War Dog Battalion, Pak Chong). During 3rd — 7th December 2008, it is expected to attract over 300,000 spectators to witness a colorful showcase of hot air balloons from all over the world, including the USA, UK, Germany, Switzerland, France, Italy, South Africa, and Malaysia.
The first Festival, held in 2007, attracted over 150,000 Thai and foreign spectators and received wide coverage in all media
The photo Contest which will be part of the event offers a Bt100,000 for top prize for aspiring professional and amateur photographers alike
Sixty hot air balloons will fill the sky in a colorful showcase of hot air balloons, including huge hot air balloons with carrying capacity of more than 30 passengers, a mini fantasy balloon and others from all over the world
