With business growing, Deloitte appoints new partners

Bangkok--28 Oct--DC Consultants and Marketing Communications Deloitte, one of Thailand’s leading professional services firms announced an appointment of nine new partners to respond to the continuing growth of its business. Despite the present financial and political turmoil, both domestically and globally, Deloitte’s consulting and auditing business continues to grow. The company offers a comprehensive range of services including audit, consulting, enterprise risk, financial advisory, tax and legal services. A vital factor in its success is that it places the highest priority on responding to the specific requirements of its clients; and to extend its capacity and augment the quality of its service, it recently appointed nine new partners. “Although 2008 has seen economic stagnation and political instability at home and around the world, consultancy business has shown the potential to continue growing,” said Subhasakdi Krishnamra, Managing Director Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Jaiyos. “This is something we are looking at as we respond to the growth in our own business, and to accommodate this growth, we have appointed nine new partners. They are Mr. Manoon Manusook, Mr Choopong Surachutikarn, Mr Michael Peter Fiore, Ms Nisakorn Songmanee and Ms Duangrudee Choochart as Audit Partners, Ms Usanee Lekvanichkul and Mr Surasak Suthamcharu as Financial Advisory Partners, Ms Kessara Sakmaneevongsa as a Consulting Partner and Mr Tanapone Kaewsathit as Tax Partner. Mr Manoon has 15 years experience as an auditor specialising in auditing and advising on investment in Thailand, Mr Choopong has been an auditor for 10 years,Ms Nisakorn has 19 years experience as an auditor and Ms Duangrudee has extensive experience as an auditor responsible for financial statement auditing. They also have an international experience working for Deloitte offices in USA, UK, Australia and Canada. Mr Fiore began his career with Deloitte in Pennsylvania prior to joining Deloitte Thailand. In addition to Audit services, he also specialised in Initial Public Offering (IPO), corporate mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance and business reorganisation. New Financial Advisory Partners, Ms. Usanee has extensive experience as an advisor specialising in investment services, analysing and reorganising financial and capital structure, internal auditing and fund management. She is responsible for the special audit of a merger of three of Thailand’s financial institutes under the Government’s new master plan. She also advises on business appraisal, intangible fixed assets, special audit and debt restructuring. Mr. Surasak has 15 years experience as a specialist advising on investment banking and fund raising, Initial Public Offerings, and convertible preferred stock for private placement. He also took part in drafting corporate restructuring plans under the Bankruptcy Act. Ms. Kessara, the newly appointed Consulting Partner, specialises in planning and implementing practical strategic plans, improving effectiveness, and adjusting the roles of accounting and financial divisions to respond to the requirements of executives, including CFO Services. With 20 years of experience in the field, she is especially qualified in work process improvement and strategic planning on IT. Mr. Tanapone, a new Tax Partner previously worked as a Director for the Department of International Tax Affairs, Tax Planning Division, Revenue Department. He was one of the Thai government delegation’s negotiators of double taxation agreements for 17 years and a member of various working groups to study and develop transfer pricing audit guidelines, which were introduced in May 2002 by the Thailand Revenue Department. With 21 years of experience with the Revenue Department, Mr. Thanapon is an expert on international tax transactions, double tax treaties and transfer pricing.
