Philips Electronics (Thailand) Ltd’s Consumer Lifestyle Sector introduces its latest ranges of new Philips GoGear MP3 player, setting a new standard in sound quality with its patented FullsoundTM. The company is set its marketing plan under the theme of “Bring your MP3 music to Life”, ready to penetrate Thailand’s MP3 market with the aims to become one of the top two market leaders in Thailand in 2009.
Mr. Suwasit Wittayawijug, Marketing Director of Consumer Lifestyle Sectors, Philips Electronics (Thailand) Ltd., said that MP3 portable players are growing in popularity among new generation, who are music enthusiasts, as it allows you to enjoy music while on the go. However, one of the main criticisms made by portable MP3 player users today is poor sound quality playback from MP3 formatted music. This is because much of the sound information is lost when the original sound (etc. CD) is compressed to make the file size smaller. Philips, therefore, introduces the latest generation of Philips GoGear products incorporates the new and unique Philips patented FullsoundTM technology which raise the bar for MP3 sound quality back. FullsoundTM puts the liveliness and natural dynamic back to MP3 music by faithfully restoring sonic detail to compressed MP3 format so consumers on-the-go can experience the same sound performance of High-end stereo set.
Philips innovated and patented its Fullsound? technology which help enhance the quality of compressed MP3 format music. Philips has used its expertise in music reproduction and the latest Digital Sound Processor (DSP) technology to create Fullsound?, which analyzes the music signal and enriches it by dynamically enhancing the frequency spectrum and density. Performing 10 million operations per second, the signal is reprocessed before it is sent to the speakers, without adding unwanted noise or distortion for naturally clean, warm and powerful sonic.
