Bangkok--31 Oct--SET The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET)’s Board of Governors (BoG) terminated the listing fee for bonds and also extended the waiver of trading fees for bonds (only) until end-2009. The BoG’s decision applies to fees collected for listing bonds and the fee of 0.005% on trading value, SET Executive Vice President and BoG Secretary Suthichai Chitvanich said. “The listing fee termination will promote bond listing on the local market, while the trading fee waiver will boost bond trade and lower costs,” Mr. Suthichai added. The Thai bond market has been trading since 2003 and has waived listing and trading fees for the past five years. For more information, please contact the Corporate Communications Dept.
