Thavibu Gallery is delighted to announce that Channel News Asia (CNA) from Singapore has made a series of TV programmes featuring contemporary art from Southeast Asia. There will be programmes focusing on art from Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore.
The TV programme on Thai contemporary art features four of the country?s top contemporary
artists: Vasan Sitthiket, Manit Sriwanichpoom, Jirapat Tatsanasomboon and Jakkai Siributr.
The TV programme features interviews with the artists, as well as the artists creating art works and interacting with their environment. Also, the programme contains interviews with Steven Pettifor, Thailand editor of Asian Art News Magazine (Hong Kong) and the writer of the book Flavours ? Thai Contemporary Art; and with Jorn Middelborg, the Managing Director of Thavibu Gallery.
The TV Programme is called :"Southeast Asian Contemporary Art - Thailand" feturing Thai artists Jirapat Tatsanasomboon, Vasan Sitthiket, Jakkai Siributr, and Manit Sriwanichpoom. It will be aired on Channel News Asia on November 8th 2008 at 8:30 am (Thai time)
