Philips Electronics (Thailand) Ltd., announces the appointment of Mr. Istvan Kuti as General Manager of Consumer Lifestyle Sector to oversee overall businesses of consumer electronics and domestic appliances and personal care product groups in Thailand. The appointment took an effective from November 1, 2008. Mr. Kuti succeeded Mr.Somchai Tawonrungroaj, who completed his term as General Manager of Consumer Lifestyle Sector.
Mr. Kuti has 17 years of experience with Philips. In 1991, after his graduation, he joined Philips in sales function in Lighting, Philips Hungary, and was appointed to become National Sales Manager in 1996. After that, he held a number of important positions including Country Manager of Lighting sector in 1997, Marketing Manager for Philips Optical Storage Audio Video for European market in 2003 and Country Manager of Domestic Appliances and Personal Cares in 2005. In January 2008, he was appointed as Country Manager of Consumer Lifestyle sector before taking up a role as General Manager of Consumer Lifestyle Sector with Philips Electronics (Thailand) Ltd.
Mr. Kuti has a valuable experience in Sales and Marketing which will help facilitate the company’s business development for both Philips consumer electronics product and domestic appliance and personal care products to serve consumer lifestyle and demand in Thailand.
Mr. Kuti, who is 40 years old, held a bachelor degree in Traffic-Mechanical Engineer from Technical University of Budapest, Hungary. He is married with three children.
