Siam Commercial Bank President, Mrs.Kannikar Chalitaporn, disclosed that due to challenges arising from increased competition, the Bank has appointed seven executives at the Senior Executive Vice President and Executive Vice President levels in charge of business areas considered critical to supporting the Bank’s future growth. Three executives have been promoted internally to Executive Vice President, namely Mr.Krieng Wongnongtaey leading the Financial Reporting and Control Division, Mr.Pongsit Chaichutpornsuk handling the Fraud Management Division, and Ms.Siripen Olankijcharoen heading the Enterprise Data Warehouse Project.
In an effort to strengthen its business operations amidst the challenges of an adverse business environment, Siam Commercial Bank has appointed seven new executives to ensure that the Bank is ready to meet upcoming competition and business challenges—reaffirming its policy of becoming The Premier Universal Bank in Thailand.
In addition, the Bank has recruited four new executives to reinforce its management team, especially in the Corporate Banking Group and Hire Purchase Business Product Division. Mr.Arthid Nanthawithaya has been appointed Corporate Banking Group 2 Senior Executive Vice President in charge of strategic client planning, responsible for adding to SCB product offerings and new product development in alignment with client demands, especially in capital market areas. Mrs.Parnkae Nandavisai has been named Strategic Clients Division 2 Executive Vice President to work alongside Mr. Arthid Nanthawithaya in promoting the Bank’s business potential amongst strategic corporate customers.
Recognizing the high growth potential of the hire purchase business, Ms.Araya Phuphanich has been appointed Hire Purchase Business Product Division Executive Vice President, and Mrs.Apiphan Charoenanusorn as Management Services and Retail Operations Executive Vice President, to oversee retail banking operations, MIS, selling channels, and ATM and credit card issuance. All executive appointments are to take effect immediately.
