Under the partnership, e-Academy is launched to provide IT and business professionals with a fast, efficient and convenient track to ERP Certification
SAP, the worldwide leader in business applications for companies of all sizes, announced today a partnership with Genovate to offer its global certification program via an e-Academy, allowing Thai professionals to become certified SAP consultants through online courses.
Globally, there is a shortage of skilled manpower in the area of ERP system customization, implementation and support which has resulted in the current strong demand for SAP professionals in the industry. This is due to the increased adoption of SAP solutions, in both large enterprises as well as small and midsize enterprises (SMEs).
By 2010, it is estimated that more than 60,000—80,000 ERP consultants will be needed worldwide. IT research firm Gartner has forecast Asia Pacific’s ERP services market to grow at a rapid compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 14.7% from 2005 through 2010. This will continue to fuel the high demand for SAP professionals. Genovate and SAP aim to train more than 200 SAP-certified ERP consultants each year.

With the introduction of the e-Academy, all IT and business professionals who desire to become certified SAP consultants in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) can sign up at their convenience and pursue the e-based certification in a shorter time, with greater flexibility and at a lower cost than a conventional classroom-based program. A typical SAP consultant can also earn 15% to 20% more than their IT peers.
