Thai consumers can now own an IdeaPad S9/S10 that combines technology with fashion and portability, through a range of flexible packages and an exciting skin design contest
Lenovo today announced the formal launch of the IdeaPad Netbook in the Thai market with a selection of three IdeaPad S9 Flexible Packages for consumers, offered in partnership with Microsoft and True Corporation.
Consumers will be able to purchase all packages on a variety of operation systems from Microsoft at all of True Shops and TrueMove Shops with a selective instalment payment offered by FirstChoice Card.
“Today’s consumers are looking for mobile products that feature the best of basic computing functions in an extremely compact and affordable form, and Lenovo designed the IdeaPad netbooks for that purpose,” said Pinyo Saguensettakul, Country Manager for Consumer Business, Lenovo Thailand.

In addition to offering a wide range of packages for different usage needs, there are also come with Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 and special application for students that allow them to access past-year samples of O-NET and A-NET exams, together with EDGE, Wi-Fi and Aircard for easy connection,” said Pinyo.
This new “Netbook” offering is also supporting students by including Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition and Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007, which represents a valuable collection of tools for university students who need to quickly and accurately research up-to-date information for their studies.

A Fusion of Style, Color and Convenience
The IdeaPad S9 and S10 netbooks are Lenovo’s answer to growing consumer demand for netbooks around the world. IDC forecasts worldwide shipments of ultra-low cost notebooks rising from just 430,000 units in 2007 to 9.2 million in 2012.[i]
Designed to complement a customer’s primary PC or as a first-time, introductory PC purchase, the IdeaPad S9 and S10 netbooks allow users to do simple activities such as surf the Internet, check and write emails, listen to music and run basic applications while on the move.
Approximately one inch thin with models weighing just over 0.9kg, the IdeaPad S9 and S10 netbooks typify thin and light design. The 8.9-inch screen IdeaPad S9 and 10.2-inch screen. The IdeaPad S10 netbooks come in glossy black, pearl white and pink.
For a comfortable, more natural computing experience, Lenovo designed a full-size of Netbook’s keyboard and an energy-efficient LED backlit display helps provide longer battery life than traditional displays. For easy connection to the Internet, the netbooks feature WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity and also have an Express Card slot so users can enable the netbooks for optional high speed mobile broadband connectivity.
Often used as a social networking device, the netbooks come with tools that optimize the experience such as a built-in web camera for video messaging, and its two USB ports and a 4-in-1 multicard reader make connecting other devices and transferring photos, music and videos simple.
