Bangkok--6 Nov--JWT Public Relations Manpower, the nation’s leader in employment services, shakes the HR industry with its latest service provided under its Right Management brand, putting an emphasis on its 360 degree business strategy. Manpower offers Career Transition Service that provides counseling and assistance to employees at the time of job loss to guide the candidates in developing a career strategy and planning their job search. The company is confident that the new service will increase its proportion to the company's revenue to more than 25%. Mr. Simon Matthews, Country Manager of Manpower (Thailand) Company Limited, said: "The economic and financial crisis of the world's biggest economy, the United State of America (USA), has caused a chain effect on worldwide economies and industries, especially the financial and insurance services in the USA. In addition, it has hurt investor's confidence for business expansion in the last quarter of 2008 and it is expected to continue onto the first quarter of 2009. As a result, investors have delayed their investments in order to further evaluate the economic condition. Currently, the most severe problem is the corporate loses that resulted in job reductions". Mr. Simon added "The results of the latest Manpower Employment Outlook Survey, based on interviews with more than 14,000 public and private employers from 460 companies worldwide, conducted from late 3rd quarter until the 4th quarter of 2008 by Manpower Inc, indicates that more than 59% of the sample group, has no plans to open new hiring positions or to readjust hiring positions within their companies. While, 22% expects to increase their staff levels, 13% expects to reduce their payrolls and 6% are undecided about their Quarter 4 2008 hiring plans. Seasonally adjusted survey data shows that six industry sectors surveyed will decrease hiring slightly next year. These include; Durable and Non-Durable Goods Manufacturing, Transportation/Public Utilities, Wholesale and Retail Trade, Finance and Insurance, Real Estate and Services industry". Mr. Simon further added "Laying emphasis on the company's holistic and integrated solution, we are proud to deliver in Thailand, under Right Management brand, our Career Transition Service that provides counseling and assistance to employees at the time of their job loss, to guide them in developing a career strategy and planning for their job search using various techniques. Internationally, the service has been accepted and gained popularity for more than 25 years, especially in the Information & Technology, Financial & Banking, Producers and Importers of Consumer Goods, Service Industry etc. Current assessment of global economic trend indicates that many employers are projecting a continued decline in hiring intentions. Thus, increases Right Management Service popularity. In 2009, the company is confident that this service will increase its proportion to the company's revenue by more than 25%. The process has positive effects for both the company and its employees, whose job has been terminated. The service target groups are those companies with plans to reduce employment, from the entry level positions to the most senior positions. Thus, it is essential to provide moral support and counseling to these employees, so they are more likely to respond positively and prepare themselves more effectively in searching for new jobs. The Right Management Service is divided into two programs: one-on-one consulting and group based programs, which will differ based on the level and number of employees who will be affected and taking into consideration specific needs. Employees of both session (either group program or individual session) will receive individual workbook that will give them an opportunity to review their career/jobs to date and will assist them to plot their future. The Group based program covers wide range of topics under a short duration; for examples: Coming to terms with job loss & steps in job relocation; Assessing skills and interests; Developing job targets & the importance of job fit; Assessing accomplishments & criteria to consider for job selection; Resume development and effective use of resumes; Interview techniques & skill training; Developing questions to ask the interviewer & questions to expect etc. As for one-to-one consulting, it is designed to provide an in-depth overview of the career transition process by giving attention to identifying strengths, developing a valid and realistic job objective, creating a comprehensive and targeted resume. In order to set practical strategies for conducting a successful job search campaign, candidates will be able to completely assess their 'Career Profile' for example; identifying his/her work styles, ideal work environment and job strengths to determine his/her “best fit” career objective. As for 'Future Direction', Right Management aims to provide “Work Targets” and “Fit Criteria” identified within the context of each career direction/option and become the benchmark and focus for future career growth. Furthermore, candidates will be challenged to develop a more polished and powerful first impression on paper. The individual will learn to develop a strong marketing piece and build the individual’s confidence in preparing a more effective verbal presentation. Participants of one-on-one consulting program are evaluated with the assistance of his or her consultant. "The role of Manpower is to suitably submit resumes of participating candidates to targeted companies with job openings. Manpower's additional services include; E-learning Course - to enhance career potentials and skills development, thus optimizing their job opportunities in the future". Mr. Simon concluded.
