Microsoft booth at Thailand’s leading IT trade show to pair up customers with their ideal technology solutions by striving to make the latest genuine software affordable for all
Valentine’s Day may be more than a few months away, but Microsoft (Thailand) is preparing to play Cupid at this week’s Commart Exhibition by matching up customers with the latest Microsoft software solutions and hardware options from Microsoft partners.
Held three times a year, the Commart Exhibition has quickly become Thailand’s largest IT trade show and the upcoming Commart Exhibition, being held this week from November 13th — 16th at Bangkok’s Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, will host a variety of leading software and hardware exhibitors.
“The Commart Exhibition formula is a simple but highly effective one,” said Ms. Patama Chantaruck, Managing Director of Microsoft Thailand. “It’s great to see more and more people in Thailand showing an interest in the latest IT products and Microsoft is working hard to use events such as Commart to ensure that the latest Microsoft solutions are always accessible and affordable to customers in Thailand.”
With a dedicated workshop and demonstration zone to showcase Microsoft Windows Vista and Microsoft Office 2007, the Microsoft booth will be particularly attractive for small office and homeowner customers and there will be a variety of ‘Office Ready’ PCs and notebooks available from Microsoft partners, including ACER, Dell, HP, Klassbook, Sony, SVOA and Toshiba.
“Following on from Microsoft’s previous efforts to help customers identify the best technology for their needs, such as the highly successful Microsoft ‘Right PC’ campaign, we want to help those customers visiting Commart to find the perfect PC for their needs. As such, we are working alongside key hardware partners to provide a broad choice of machines that all come pre-installed with Microsoft Office 2007,” continued Ms. Patama Chantaruck. “Experienced staff will also be on hand to help customers identify the best PC for them and we will have a number of demonstrations available to let visitors experience genuine Microsoft software before they buy.”
There have been increasing efforts by Commart’s organizers to educate vendors on the dangers of installing counterfeit software on their products and action is regularly taken against those who ignore these warnings. For absolute peace of mind however, the Microsoft booth guarantees 100% genuine software on all the machines for sale there and serves as an example of how Microsoft is striving to make its genuine software accessible and affordable to all.
“Whether talking about the Commart Exhibition or general software use by individuals and businesses in Thailand, Microsoft recognizes the importance of greater awareness about Intellectual Property Rights and we are working hard to not only help consumers recognize the dangers of counterfeit software, but to also educate them about the real advantages of genuine software,” added Ms. Patama Chantaruck. “As a copyright owner, we fully support the government and police’s enforcements efforts, but we are also striving to change the long-term attitude towards Intellectual Property Rights in Thailand by hosting IP awareness seminars, IP Youth Camps for kids and program offerings such as Software Asset Management (SAM), Windows Genuine Advantage (WGA) and Microsoft Software Inventory Analyzer (MSIA).”
Indeed Microsoft will also be making genuine software more affordable for customers by providing financial support at the Commart booth, with a selection of notebooks available to purchase via installment payments from as little as 200 baht per day. Furthermore, Commart customers who purchase products from the Microsoft booth will be eligible to receive a free Microsoft jacket and enter a lucky draw. Those who purchase software using a KTC credit card will also be able to enjoy 0% finance on their payments 3 months and 0% finance for 6 months if they purchase a combined software and hardware package.
