“Amata” signs a Marketing Cooperation Agreement with “Sumitomo Corp.” one of the biggest Japanese trading firms to attract more Japanese investors for expanding project in both Amata Nakorn and Amata City industrial estates in Thailand. Seek the possibility to collaborate in the future such as utility supply for clients of the industrial estates and new development of another industrial estates.
Ms.Somhatai Panichewa, Chief Business Development Officer of Amata Corporation PCL. announced that Amata has signed a Marketing Cooperation Agreement with Sumitomo Corp.(Japan) to attract Japanese investors to relocate or expand their projects in both Amata Nakorn industrial estate in Chonburi and Amata City industrial estate in Rayong. Sumitomo Corporation is one of the biggest world class importing & exporting firms and has many subsidiaries and associated companies in various kind of industries such as metal product, finance, transportation, infrastructure etc. Sumitomo Corp. also has successful industrial estates in Indonesia, Philippines and Vietnam. With their network and expertise, the marketing collaboration should benefit Amata in attracting more Japanese investment to Thailand.
This agreement will help to promote Amata industrial lands for sales particularly under the world economic crisis and political uncertainty in Thailand. Sumitomo Corp should be able to contribute about 20% of Amata land sales target.
“The agreement of Marketing Cooperation between Amata and Sumitomo Corp. is the second collaboration. We both firstly have been the shareholders of Amata Power Limited for the power plant project.. However it can lead to the possibility to collaborate in the wide range in the future such as utility supply for increasing number of customers in the industrial estates, new development or sales of another industrial estates in or outside of Thailand and so on.” Mr.Somhatai said.
