Hitachi Data Systems Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd. (NYSE: HIT) and the only provider of Services Oriented Storage Solutions, today announced the launch of the enhanced Hitachi TrueNorthTM Channel Partner program, with added recognition, benefits and incentives.
Recognised as best-practice on an industry-wide basis, the Hitachi TrueNorth Channel Partner Program has been instrumental in increasing Partner profitability and driving Hitachi Data Systems revenue since its launch in 2004. The enhanced program now provides the tools and financial rewards that better adapt to the specific focus and needs of each individual Partner organization. The key enhancements include richer financial rewards, flexible reward rates, a simple payout formula, a business plan requirement and greater Partner differentiation with four Partner levels (Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze).

Hitachi TrueNorth Partners from around the region joined senior Hitachi Data Systems executives and industry thought leaders to discuss the trends in the industry and honor the most innovative technology deployments across the ASEAN region.

Hitachi Data Systems Recognises Singapore’s Most Innovative Technology Deployments
This year, Hitachi Data Systems’ annual Customer Appreciation Night was held at the Keppel Club on 29 October 2008. The event opened with a Golf Tournament and culminated in an awards presentation for six Singaporean organizations that displayed outstanding innovation in the deployment of Hitachi Data Systems solutions.
The winners were selected from a range of industries including education, telecommunications, financial services and the public sector. The winners from each of the six categories are:
- Most Innovative Thin Provisioning: TECH Semiconductor Singapore Pte Ltd
- Best Data Migration & Virtualization Solution: Citigroup
- Best Innovative Use of Technology: National University of Singapore (Quantum Information Science and Technology Centre)
