Mr. Thongma Vijitpongpun, President and Chief Executive Officer, Preuksa Real Estate Public Company Limited (PS), revealed that,
“We are geared up and ready to cope with the challenges of the current economic slowdown, and we have in place a new strategic plan to maintain our domestic growth, as well as, to expand in overseas markets such as India, China, Vietnam and Indonesia. This is to ensure that we remain an organization with sound financial stability even during tough times.”
“In terms of overall business operation, we have implemented a number of novel strategies. We have improved our business process management through advanced IT systems. We have increased the efficiency of our supply chain management. We have developed innovative construction systems that significantly shorten construction time and ensure faster product delivery. All of which result in greater customer satisfaction. We have also developed our Call Center to provide even greater convenience and access to our products and services. It is one of our principle aims to create our corporate culture of ‘PS Value’, which translates to dedication to excellence in everything that we do. Also, it is important to note that, while we are determined to continue to produce good business results, we are as much committed to social responsibility and contribution.”, said Mr. Thongma.
“For 2009, we aim to generate 18,000 Million Baht of total sales, an 11% increase from 16,188 Million Baht in 2008. We also expect to produce 17,000 Million Baht of income, a 31% growth from 12,969 Million Baht last year. We are confident that we will be able to achieve these goals, despite the current economic downturn the world is facing, because we have always been very active and adaptive to situations, and have been quick to adjust our business strategies to ensure smooth business operation and effective risk management. In addition, we have an edge over competitors through our strong financial foundation and our very own state-of-the-art ‘PS Precast’ factory where ready-to-built concrete parts used in our construction are made.”, added Mr. Thongma.
Mr. Prasert Taedulayasathit, Director and Chief Business Officer, Preuksa Real Estate Public Company Limited (PS), stated that, “The current global economic crisis has prompted us to be even more cautious than ever in running the business and maintaining our financial strength. In 2009, we expect to launch as many as 22 new projects both in Thailand and beyond. There will be 8 townhouse projects, 11 single-house projects, 2 condominium projects and one overseas venture. The total investment value on these projects is around 15,000 Million Baht. These new projects are positioned to appeal to many different niche markets. Virtually all aspects important to consumers — exterior and interior designs, location, facilities and services — have been taken into consideration to ensure that each project will respond favorably to consumer demand.”
“Moreover, this year, we expect to acknowledge a substantial income of around 24,536 Million Baht from our 82 existing projects. Combine these with the 22 new projects to be unveiled, and we will have over 100 quality projects to our name, covering Bangkok and surrounding provinces. This makes us even more confident that we will be able to live up to our expectations for this year. We will also continue to seek new business opportunities to strengthen our long-term stability even further.”, added Mr. Prasert.
