Nokia Thailand today announced its business directions in 2009 including transforming the Internet and putting it in the palm of your hand, being a leading company in terms of environmental performance and a good corporate citizen by supporting youth education. Nokia also kicked off the year by announcing the availability of the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic in Thailand.
“Nokia has a unique role to play in transforming the Internet and putting it in the palm of your hand,” said Mr. Vipul Sabharwal, General Manager, Nokia (Thailand) Ltd. “Unlike the legacy Internet players, Nokia’s solutions are designed to take full advantage of mobility. We deliver easy to use solutions by designing the device, User Interface and services to work together as one complete, instinctive experience. In addition, the growth of mobile communications provides Nokia as a market leader with the opportunity to also lead the way in sustainability and demonstrate best practices. Nokia aims to be a leading company in terms of environmental performance and a good corporate citizen that contributes to the communities where we live.”
To make effectively personalize the Internet experience, Nokia is creating the ability to always know where we are and what is around us. Further, it is helping us know where our friends are, what they’re doing and even how they’re feeling. This is called social location. Nokia sees a fundamental change in the Internet itself as it becomes fully personalized and integrated into our 24/7 lives — we will be living in Media
Nokia is committed to support youth education. As part of the community involvement program, Nokia has built twenty four schools through out the country. The project has been running since 1999. This year Nokia will continue to provide access to formal education for children.
