Fitch Ratings will host a teleconference on Thursday, 12 February 2009 at 2:30PM HK/SG to discuss its 2009 asset performance and ratings outlooks for the non-Japan Asia Structured Finance market.
Non-Japan Asian economies still reported growth in 2008 despite the impending global recession. This year, these countries face more severe economic environments due to the global economic downturn. The weakening regional economies may ultimately affect the performance of all asset classes within structured finance. In the teleconference, the agency will present its opinions on how underlying assets and ratings of non-Japan Asia structured finance transactions will perform in 2009. In particular, the call will focus on South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand.
The teleconference will be hosted by Tshung Chang, Director, Business Development, Structured Finance Asia Pacific, and he will be joined by Orawan Karoonkornsakul, Senior Director and Henry Hung, Associate Director.
The teleconference coincides with the release of Fitch's special report, "2009 Non-Japan Asia Structured Finance Outlook", which is available on www.fitchratings.com.
Opening remarks will last approximately 20 minutes, followed by a short Q&A session for interested participants.
