Bangkok--6 Feb--Fitch Ratings
Fitch Ratings will host a teleconference on Monday, 9 February 2009 at 10:00AM (Australian AEDT) / 7:00AM SG/HK to discuss the agency's outlook for the Australia and New Zealand power and utilities and Australia's oil and gas sectors.
The teleconference will be hosted by Fitch's Australia and New Zealand energy and utilities team: Steve Durose, Head of Energy & Utilities, Asia-Pacific; Gavin Madson, Director; Janet Willoughby, Associate Director; and Sajal Kishore, Associate Director. The team will discuss, among other topics, liquidity risks in the current environment, NSW electricity privatisation, regulatory and operational risks facing the networks segment, the carbon pollution reduction scheme, wholesale oil and gas prices, Australian coal-seam gas and liquefied natural gas projects and the credit challenges facing the New Zealand utilities sector.
The call coincides with the release of four related reports - "Australian Power and Utilities 2009: The Haves and the Have-Nots", "Australian Oil and Gas: Credit Outlook 2009", "New Zealand Power and Utilities: Credit Outlook 2009" and "Australian Electricity Sector" - which will be available on 9 February 2009 on www.fitchratings.com.
Opening remarks will last approximately 30 minutes, followed by a short Q&A session for interested participants.
