Fitch Ratings will host a teleconference on Friday, 13 February 2009 at 4:30PM India to discuss the performance of Indian Structured Finance transactions in 2008 and the outlook for 2009. Despite the declining asset performance outlook for retail assets, Fitch's ratings of Indian Asset-backed Securities (ABS) and Residential Mortgage-backed Securities (RMBS) transactions are expected to remain broadly stable in 2009. However, Single Loan Sell Downs linked to the domestic real estate and NBFC sectors are vulnerable to potential rating actions given Fitch's Stable to Negative Outlooks on these sectors. In the teleconference, Fitch will present its views on how the underlying assets and ratings of its Single Loan Sell Downs, ABS and RMBS will perform in 2009.
The teleconference will be hosted by Dipesh Patel, Senior Director, Structured Finance and he will be joined by Sandeep Singh, Director.
The teleconference coincides with the release of Fitch's special report, "Indian Structured Finance - 2008 Review and 2009 Outook", which is available on www.fitchindia.com and www.fitchratings.com.
Opening remarks will last approximately 30 minutes, followed by a short Q&A session for interested participants.
