ProxySG Appliances Provide Web Security and Control while Accelerating Important Content and Alleviating Bandwidth Shortages
Blue Coat Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: BCSI), the leader in WAN optimization and Secure Web Gateway, today announced that China Bank of Communications selected Blue Coat ProxySG appliances to provide visibility, acceleration and security at its Internet access gateway. The ProxySG appliances solved an ongoing problem the bank had faced with a saturated Internet gateway that would often be too overloaded for business-critical communications and applications.

Because of the controls and caching, the ProxySG appliances reduce the amount of bandwidth consumed, creating operational savings and ensuring that business-critical applications and communications have proper Internet access.
