dtac seriously controls VAS contents, excludes corrupt content providers and receives complaints by email
dtac asks for collaboration from its content providers to carefully tend to their contents after having found some content providers breaching its terms and conditions. The company encourages customers to send complaints about inappropriate contents to [email protected].
Today dtac has about 200 content providers. The company requires providers to seek its approval before sending every promotional message through SMS to its customers. While most content providers have been collaborative, some malpractices are carried out by some. For example, the company has lately received direct complaints from customers of SMS advertising spam. A content provider sent improper promotional messages to customers through *45202642411765 with the sender named ‘VIDEOclub’. When customers dialed the given number came with the spam, the content providers’ systems committed the customers to their services immediately although the systems had not informed the customers clearly of service details and fees.
Since this the second time of this provider’s wrongdoing, dtac had to immediately terminate its services.
If any content provider takes advantage of customers by sending improper contents, charging unfair fees etc, dtac would like customers to report such malpractices to it at [email protected]. Staff of the company will immediately investigate that content provider. If it is proved that any customer is taken advantage of, dtac will consider refunding the customer’s money.
dtac’s measures to cope with any improper actions of content providers range from warning to service suspension, fines and the termination of content providers’ contracts.
