True Internet Gateway Co., Ltd, a subsidiary company of True Corporation Plc, announced its business plan for 2009 putting emphasis on better offerings and quality to attract Thai Internet Service Providers. This follows the company’s successful expansion of its European and Asian Internet gateway networks in 2008, which offers better connections around the globe despite times of economic uncertainties.
According to Mr Songtham Phianpattanawit, Managing Director for Enterprise Customer & International Services of True Corporation Plc, “True’s strengths as the leader in convergence lifestyle enable it to offer fully integrated telecommunication services for both customers’ lifestyles and workstyles. Today’s new generation businesses generally have business connections worldwide, and this has encouraged True to enhance service offerings covering international telecommunications by focusing on internet gateway services, IDD phone calls and VoIP. True Internet Gateway has expanded its international network to Europe and Asia, in addition to its network in the USA. This has widened the company’s international telecommunication footprint, and at the same time offering the local market hi-speed Internet services with reliable international connectivity.”
Outlining the company’s operational business strategy for 2009, Dr Anotai Rattanakul, General Manager of True Internet Gateway Co., Ltd. said, “Over the past two years, True Internet Gateway’s revenue has continuously grown about 100 percent per year. This year our business strategy is to put emphasis on service expansion that promises high quality and variety of services at reasonable prices. The price will reflect the charges on Internet bandwidth abroad which has decreased. Internet Service Providers (ISP) in Thailand should take this opportunity to meet the increasing needs of Internet users. It is forecasted that Thailand’s international Internet bandwidth will jump 100 percent from 30 Gbps in 2008 to 60 Gbps in 2009. True Internet Gateway’s share will be more than 10 Gbps by the end of 2010, which is roughly equivalent to 20 percent of the overall bandwidth consumption.”
