Bangkok--17 Feb--BES
Considered to be holding the highest NGV growth potential in the world, India has been selected as the host country for NGV India 2009, the 1st international NGV event for South Asia. The event is also the third specialised NGV exhibition organised in Asia by Allworld Exhibition, with the previous being held in Bangkok in November 2007 and the first in Malaysia in 2005.
NGV India 2009 aims to provide an international platform for the Indian natural gas sector and allied vehicle industry to deliberate, to update and to exchange ideas on the emerging technologies, sustainability, processes, and environment concerns, and to register new guidelines for the industry. It will focus on the entire South Asian NGV market by featuring all the latest technology for NGV (Natural Gas for Vehicles) from throughout the world with a cutting-edge conference covering the latest trends and technological developments coupled with workshop and training programmes.
The event will witness the delegation from 22 countries with more than 150 exhibitors from every part of the world. It is also expected to attract a global audience of state transport operators, vehicle manufacturers, equipment suppliers, energy corporations, gas distributors, fuel distributors and retailers, environmental agencies, service providers, government organisations, automotive and environmental engineers and fleet operators.
India has the 4th largest fleet of natural gas vehicles in the world and most importantly holds massive growth in its usage and application with over 220 cities planned for CNG development, a nationwide distribution pipeline. By 2012 India’s CNG pipeline will stretch 12,000 km, connect 15 states and reach a population of 160,000,000 people, making it the number one NGV investment opportunity in the world today.
NGV India 2009 is organised by BES Ltd. (a member of UK-based Allworld Exhibitions) and NGV Network, leading organisers of NGV events in Asia. The event is officially supported by GAIL (India) Ltd., India’s principal natural gas transmission and marketing company with equity states in several CNG and City gas ventures, and endorsed by the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC), Association of State Road Transport Undertakings (ASRTU), Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), and Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation, with the conference supported by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM).
The event will be held at New Delhi's premier trade exhibition and conference centre, Pragati Maidan, from 24-26 March 2009. For more information, please visit www.ngvindia2009.com or contact [email protected]
