Photo Release: Bangkok Bank donates funds to restore mural painting at Kushinagar Thai Temple in India

Bangkok--17 Mar--ธนาคารกรุงเทพ Bangkok Bank Managing Director Singh Tangtatswas (2nd from right) and Executive Vice President Aphichart Ramyarupa (right) together with other bank executives donated Baht 3 million to M.R. Pridiyathorn Devakula in support of a project to restore murals on the walls of the ubosot at the Kushinagar Thai Temple. This is situated on the site in Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh, India, where the Lord Buddha passed away. Three walls in the ubosot, covering an area of 254 square meters, will depict His Majesty the King’s literary work - the Story of Mahajanaka. Another wall, covering an area of 80 square meters in the porch leading to the entrance of the ubosot, will depict His Majesty’s endeavors to maintain Buddhism. The painting restoration work will take about two years.
