Bangkok--24 Mar--Glow Energy
The Board of Directors of Glow Energy on 23 March 2009 approved to propose 2008 annual dividend payment of Baht 1.736 per share for shareholders’ approval, inclusive of the interim dividend of Baht 0.60 per share which was paid in October 2008. The remaining dividend of Baht 1.136 per share is proposed to be paid in May 2009.
The declared annual dividend for 2008 is approximately 5% higher than the annual dividend of 2007. Considering closing share price as of 20 March 2009, at Baht 20.60 per share, our annual dividend represents yield of 8.43 % p.a.
Mr. Esa Heiskanen, Chief Executive Officer of GLOW Group, stated that: “The approved dividend payment is approximately 67% of our Normalized Net Profit of 2008 (72% of Net Profit 2008). This reflects our confidence in fund raising required to complete our expansion projects during the next three years. Our policy remains to be to provide continuing and stable dividend yield to our shareholders. When all three expansion projects which are currently under constructing are completed by 2011, we expect to be able to generate much higher earnings and provide higher dividends to our shareholders.” Mr. Esa Heiskanen also informed that: ”the CFB#1 unit of 150 MW, which has been out of service since November last year, has resumed it's normal operation again on 21 March 2009”.
