New Executive Chef Jai Govindan has created a spectacular buffet feast that will be served from April 12-16 at the Riverside Terrace restaurant and, at Trader Vic’s, a special menu will be available throughout the month of April.
The Riverside Terrace Songkran Dinner Buffet offers the very best in Thai and international cuisine. Family and friends can sit down together over a leisurely celebration dinner and enjoy cooling river breezes, an atmosphere of laid back luxury and traditional Thai entertainment.
Chefs at experienced cooking stations will be on hand to prepare a full selection of Thai favorites including curries, salad and stir fries. Diners can also create their own Thai steamboat combinations from an array of broths, noodles and meats. The Songkran menu will include culinary treats from around the world too. Seafood fans can feast on fresh prawns, oysters, lobster and mussels, with the cuisines of Indian, Japanese and Western ready to be savored also. Plus there’s an extravaganza of desserts and fruits to complete your meal.
The buffet is available from 18.00 — 23.00 hrs. and costs Baht 1,250++ per person.
The special Songkran menu at Trader Vic’s is brimming with exquisite flavors. Choose from an array of traditional Thai favorites reinvented for 2009 with influences from the Pacific Rim cuisine for which Trader Vic’s is renowned.
Enjoy Roasted Hokkaido Scallops with pomelo and Thai basil salad, Poached Foie Gras in hot and sour soup, Tamarind-glazed Baby Pork Spare Ribs with green mango salad, and Braised Wagyu Beef Cheeks cooked Massaman style and served with sticky rice and cucumber and coriander salad.
Trader Vic’s is set amid lush gardens and offers al fresco dining as well as air conditioned comfort. The restaurant is open for dinner from 18.00 — 01.00 hrs. every day.
