Rayong Purifier Public Company Limited believes the economic stimulation will help promote the oil industry. The company is preparing to market Pure B5 bio diesel highlighting the manufacturing and logistics process as selling point along with well prepared retail outlets to ensure cleaned B5 quality meeting the standard set by the Energy Department. Pure B5 bio diesel will be available at all Pure gas stations, replacing the current diesel choices with plan to enter phase 2 on RamKamhaeng 110.
Mr. Supapong Krishnakan, Chairman of Executive Board of Rayong Purifier Public Company Limited or RPC, refiner that transforms condensate residue to international quality petroleum products, disclosed that in 2008, the oil price situation was highly fluctuating with first half of the year showing off high prices, while in the remaining half, the prices of fuels dropped dramatically due to the financial crisis in the United States, which eventually affected the oil industry. “As for RPC, the company enjoyed sales of 22.535 billion baht in 2008, up 1.779 billion baht or 9% from that of 2007, when the company reported total sales of 20.759 billion baht. This is due to rising oil prices in the first half of 2008. However, cost of sales was also high,” he said.
“In 2009, we are confident that the oil industry will improve gradually taking into consideration the liquidity stimulation measures and all-out economic stimulation scheme from the government sector, along with the current demand in oil for national development by several countries especially China, where demand continues to remain high. As for the plan for this year, RPC is looking to strengthen businesses within the group and leading all the companies to the right direction by focusing in the retail activities of Pure B5 bio diesel as substitute for ordinary diesel, as it comes with lower cost. Pure Thai Energy Co., Ltd. has already conducted a soft launch for Pure B5 and received quite a positive response from consumers, making the sales of total diesel fuel grow by 14%. We targeted that this year Pure B5 will be able to replace ordinary diesel by as much as 60% with availability at all Pure gas stations,” he explained.
Pure B5, which comes with a slogan “Pure B5 More Superior Standard”, is a product of Pure Bio Diesel facility with Purebiodiesel Co., Ltd. which started production of bio diesel and sales since January 2009 after receiving certification as bio diesel vendor on December 30, 2008. The company uses advanced technology and high standard to produce fuel that is outstanding in terms of quality and accepted by customers and government sector. The company will use over 60% of the total capacity to produce Pure B5 to the market in order to display superior production capacity.
“Bio diesel from RPC is transported by Jaturatis Transport Co., Ltd., which plans out the logistics for the company using over 90 transport vehicles to cater to the growing bio diesel business, Pure B5 and other products. The transportation is handled by experienced and skilled personnel with clean vehicles that perform punctual work controlled by satellite-linked GPS system 24 hours. This is to ensure that the pure quality is reserved every step of production until delivery at gas stations,” he said.
“As for the progress of Pure Sammakorn Development Co., Ltd. after the successful first phase of Pure Place on Rangsit Klong 2, the company is beginning the second phase with integrated shopping complex in front of Sammakorn Village Ramkamhaeng 110, which is considered high potential location. The phase is targeted for launch within 2010. With growing related business within the group, the company is predicted to achieve the projected target, “he added.
RPC agrees with the announcement to make Map Tha Put as controlled area for pollution in order to raise awareness regarding environmental pollution and social responsibility. “We are using the latest technology, which is our own to deal with waste water treatment called Swift Klean. The system is installed at our facilities which uses high level of biochemical to recycle the water into 100% cleaned water before letting out to sea without causing hazards to nature and environment. Such technology is the pride of RPC and something everyone is proud of for being responsible to the community we are in,” he concluded.
