Bangkok--3 Apr--Grayling (Thailand)
As Thailand’s summer holidays heat up, high flying customers of British Airways can now enjoy remote check-in through their mobile phones with wireless connectivity service. It’s quick and free, without any need to download accompanying software. By visiting http://ba2go.com using any mobile device with wireless connectivity, customers can access the British Airways timetable in real time, as well as select seats and check-in individuals, groups and families for departure or return flights.
Stephen Limbrick, regional manager South East Asia said: “Our customers have busy lifestyles, so we’re offering greater accessibility, and convenience to enhance their overall travel experience. We are delighted to be the first UK airline to offer this service in Thailand, supporting the same languages as those on the website ba.com.”
The new mobile service offers four options for checking-in. Customers can collect the boarding pass at the British Airways check-in desk at the Suvarnabhumi airport, send the boarding pass to a fax machine, email the boarding pass for printing later, or log into online check-in from a computer with a printer.
But the tech-savvy customers must also be aware of their time zone. The airline is urging customers to check and double check their flight itineraries if they are taking flights leaving after midnight, including Flight BA0010 scheduled to depart Bangkok at 12:20 a.m. every night for London. It says that some passengers have missed their flights by arriving at the airport 24 hours late due to misinterpretation of departure times and dates. As a further safeguard when booking flights on ba.com, passengers are sent an e-mail to confirm the booking, and another e-mail reminder before the flight.
