dtac plans safe and pleasant times for customers during the Songkran festival by giving away waterproof mobile phone cases at all service outlets. Also, it will answer calls for help and emergency reports through its 1678 Call Center. Special downloads will be introduced to promote the festival. Customers order for content downloads will get special gifts from dtac Call Center. Tipayarat Kaewsringam, chief customer officer of Total Access Communication Public Company Limited (dtac), says dtac is preparing to please customers during the upcoming Songkran festival. The customers who make payments at dtac service outlets nationwide from April 8 to 14 will receive free waterproof phone cases (with limited availability). They are to guarantee customers’ pleasure in the Songkran festival as their cell phones will surely be protected from water.
Besides, between April 3 and 15, staff at dtac customer service outlets introduce customers more new value-added services. They include e-cards, themes, ringtones, Ring4U and special songs during the festival.
For emergency reports, dtac customers can dial 1678 dtac Call Center and press 5 and report cases of emergency during the Songkran festival. The staff will then coordinate assistance with agencies concerned. Customers can also seek advice in case their mobile phones are soaked or dropped into water during the Songkran festival.
“Besides, the call center will organize a special activity between April 13 and 15. Each customer who orders at least three Ring4U downloads via the online chat channel will get a colorful waterproof mobile phone case. The customer who orders at least five calling melody downloads will receive a multipurpose and folding bag. Those who subscribe to an SMS, MMS or GPRS package worth at least 60 baht will have a free keychain. (The gifts will be available in a limited number.),” Tipayarat says.
Moreover, dtac has enhanced its network capacity to serve the likely heavy traffic of voice calls, SMS and MMS during the Songkran festival. The enhancement focuses on prime locations in Bangkok like the Hua Lamphong railway terminus, the Mor Chit bus terminal, the Ekamai bus terminal, Khaosan road, Silom area and Sanam Luang ground. The network improvement also takes place at bus and train stations as well as popular tourist destinations in other provinces including Chiang Mai, Chon Buri, Saraburi and Khon Kaen.
