Allowing the purchase of air tickets via “KTC Government Services Card” without sliding through card readers.
Miss Ratana Cholpraipimolrat, Executive Vice President for Revolving Loans Business, “KTC” or Krungthai Card Public Company Limited, announced “KTC and Thai Airways International jointly start new form of service for the first time in Thailand so that government agencies can purchase and pay for airplane tickets via “KTC Government Services Card” without having to slide the credit card to make payment. They can make reservation by phone or fax or e-mailing to Government Sale Department, Thai Airways International. After that, Thai Airways International will prepare information so that the government agency can take ticket issuance document to obtain tickets at Thai Airways International, Lanluang Street Office. This method will facilitate and save time of government agencies. The return of airfare will be quicker than payment by billing system. In addition, payment via Government credit card instead of previous billing system will accelerate the circulation of budget into the economy.“Department of Trade Negotiations” is the model department starting this service. There are also many other government agencies, which travel often, expressing interest.”
“KTC Government Services Card” is the first credit card for Government agencies in Thailand and Southeast Asia that is endowed with payment services. The card helps facilitate Government agencies to efficiently and economically manage the payment for travel and seminar expenditures and also shows the payment information in full details. Moreover, the card is superior with the benefits from travel insurance. By merely paying for airfare via “KTC Government Services Card,” the card holders and the accompanied travelers will obtain four million Baht coverage for each trip. The maximum coverage cannot exceed 100 million for each trip. The number of Government agencies presently using KTC Card for Government Agencies is over 60 agencies.”
