The three partners namely KASIKORNBANK, SF Cinema and dtac add a new menu to the ATM SIM. The new service let customers buy movie tickets and receive booking confirmation swiftly via mobile phones and get tickets through fast lanes at box offices. The service is on at 14 SF Cinema and SF Cinema City movie theaters nationwide.
Firstly customers can book tickets with the SF Call Center at the phone number 0 2268 8888. When they receive their booking codes, they can select the payment menu to pay for the tickets via their ATM SIM-equipped mobile phones right away. Then they will receive the SMS that confirm their seat numbers, movie titles and showtimes. The customers will also get their tickets through fast lanes at movie theaters without having to queue.
ATM SIM is the innovation that KASIKORNBANK and dtac have jointly developed to enable transactions via mobile phones. Launched in March 2008, ATM SIM provides customers with convenient mobile banking services consisting of bank balance checks, money transfers, payment alerts, and payments for public utilities, credit card bills, products and services. The number of ATM SIM subscribers has exceeded 1 million.
ATM SIM has won regional and global awards namely the Best Mobile Money Service Award from the Asia Mobile Awards 2008 event at the GSMA’s Mobile Congress in Macau in November 2008, the “Project of the Year” award in the “Innovation Project” category from Thailand ICT Excellence Awards 2008 organized by the Thailand Management Association, the Software Industry Promotion Agency, the National Electronics and Computer Technology Center, Software Park Thailand and the College of Innovation, Thammasat University, and the Excellence In Mobile Phone Banking Award in the Products and Processes Awards category from the Asian Banker Excellence in Retail Financial Service Convention 2009 that was organized in Singapore on March 19, 2009.
