To be sure of providing the quality of food and service that will meet the highest international standards, Sizzler is relaunching the Sizzler Grill Master competition for the third year.
“The Sizzler Grill Master 2009 competitions are aimed at motivating staff to exceed international standards in operation, services and cooking at all our branches and have fun at the same time,” said John S. Heinecke, Vice President & General Manager of SLRT Ltd., operator of the Sizzler chain in Thailand and China.
“The competition will help our staff hone their skills as we expand our reach and introduce more people to Sizzler. It’s also part of the Sizzler Promise Culture, guaranteeing excellence in place, product and people.”
“It is my job and my operations team’s role to ensure that our customers throughout the country get the best quality products and service, while we continue our expansion,” he said.
Banyat Athiyutkul, Operations Director of SLRT explained that the Grill Master competition would identify the best Hot Side team, with each team consisting of three members: a restaurant manager and two members of the grill staff.
“The team members will have to prepare & cook meals to Sizzler’s high standards and ensure they are delivered to our customers’ tables hot and timely,” said Banyat.
“The judges will screen finalists for every aspect of their service, from grooming to store setup and from cleaning to food quality and cooking procedures, as well as delivery times”.
The first rounds will be held from June 3 onwards in Bangkok and the provinces. The winners will be announced at the final stage in mid-July, and the winning team will receive Grill Master Golden Pins and a cash prize of 100,000 baht.
