Bangkok--10 Jun--Asset Plus Asset Plus introduces Oil and Gold fund as a tool for Strategic Asset Allocation to investors and invite all investors to participate in a free seminar “The strategy of investing in Gold, Oil, and World Stock Market” on June 17 at InterContinental Hotel Mrs. Ladawan Charoen-Rajapark, Managing Director of Asset Plus Fund Management Co., Ltd. said that currently the Thai investors are more eager to invest in Oil to avoid high volatility environment in global bond and equities. Therefore the investors are seeking to invest into any less correlate assets in order to reduce their portfolio risk and enhance their portfolio returns. “Crude oil is an interesting alternative asset for investors’ portfolio allocation because it is the essential raw material in world consumption and production sector. Due to the decreasing of crude oil supply, crude oil stock changes, and expected of supply shortage in the near future, affected the increasing of oil price, and oil is an asset that less correlate with the bond and equity markets movement, therefore it is the best asset for investment diversification with the attractive benefit returns in long-term.” Mrs.Ladawan said Mrs.Ladawan added that improving leading economic indicators have been a key driver of rising WTI crude oil price in the recent months as the market begun to anticipate a better forward outlook for oil demand. Most of analysts estimates that if the economy stabilizes by year end and assuming that OPEC maintains cuts to draw inventories to 10-year average levels, the target of WTI price could reach $85/bbl from the present price at $68/bbl. Moreover, a likely return to energy shortages as dwindling OPEC spare capacity is likely unable to meet rising demand as Non-OPEC production growth is restricted by limited investment in oil production infrastructure. The WTI target price can increase to $95/bbl at the end of 2010. The increasing of WTI price trend is the positive factor for investor to invest in oil. “However, in the investment aspect, the equities price have currently picked up due to fund flow of investment back to the more risky asset; stock market. Investors must concern about the economic indicators and asset allocation in their portfolio in order to fit their risk limit because currently most investors invest for short-term profit. Therefore, the investors, who need more information about foreign investment, particularly in asset diversification with a guidance in asset allocation in their portfolios, the company cordially invite all investors to join the free seminar of "The strategy of investing in Gold, Oil, and World Stock Market”, holding on June 17 at 1.30 pm at the Grand Ball Room, Floor 4th , InterContinental Hotel at Phloen Chit Road.
