Chirofit treatment for ‘sick office syndrome’

Bangkok--10 Jun--DC Consultants and Marketing Communications Chirofit Chiropractic Clinic, Thailand’s leading chiropractic clinic, recently introduced a new, treatment, which should help to strengthen brand recognition of ‘Chirofit’ with those at risk from sick office syndrome. Chirofit expects its revenue to jump 50-60 per cent to Bt60 million by this year-end and expects to double its customer base within three years. Chiropractic is still a new medical science for Thai people, and has not yet been widely accepted despite being brought to Thailand 15 years ago. There are now more than 8-10 Chiropractic clinics here, according to Dr. Montanat (Ruj) Rojjanasrirat, Managing Director and Certified Chiropractor of Chirofit Chiropractic Fitness Centre. Reason is lack of communication and misperception so far. Helping Thai people to understand chiropractic as a science is Chirofit’s top priority, and it is starting with the risk group of chronic sick office syndrome. More and more people, from office workers to senior executives are spending eight hours a day or more in front of a computer, and they frequently suffer from neck, shoulder or back pain. People in other occupations, like housekeepers, often have similar symptoms when sitting, standing, walking or even sleeping in awkward positions. The office syndrome can affect the balance of the body’s structure and be harmful to health in the long run. Chirofit’s strategies to create recognition in the third and fourth quarters of the year include hosting group seminars, public relations through communications channels such as health magazines, billboards and advertisement on the BTS. With an advertising and PR budget of 10 million baht, it is hoping to double its customer base by three years with the revenue of 60 million baht, a 50-60 per cent annual growth compared to 2008. “At the moment, there is still no specific medical science that truly responds to people at these risks,” said Dr. Montanat. “We want to help people to understand how chiropractic can prevent office syndrome and help the body to regain its balance without the use of anaesthesia and physical operation. Chiropractic has been proved and accepted by the medicine circle, and a Thailand Chiropractic Association has already been established.” Dr. Montanat, who received a license for chiropractic practice from the Ministry of Public Health’s Division of Medical Registration in 2007, believes that once chiropractic becomes more widely recognised, it will be welcomed by many people suffering from pain and structural abnormalities, or who want to prevent such disorders. With experienced practitioners and a complete range of medical equipment, Chirofit will be their prime option. “In the US and Europe, chiropractic is widely acknowledged because it satisfies the precise needs of working people,” said Dr. Montanat. “With its successful record there, we believe there is a tremendous opportunity for chiropractic in Thailand.” For more information, please contact: DC Consultants and Marketing Communications Ltd Dr. Wit Sittivaekin / Korakot Prakobkit / Nitida Asawanipont / Patcharaporn Nipawattanawongsa Tel. 0-2610-2336/2386/2326
