DHL, the world’s leading express company, has continued its commitment to invest in the communities in which it is present by supporting future generations. Recently, DHL sponsored a special practice of the Bangkok Lions Rugby Football Club by offering rugby players aged 4-18 an opportunity to learn from two international rugby celebrities — former CA Brumbies and Wallabies Owen Finegan and former Rugby Union player Naas Botha.
Chananyarak Phetcharat, Managing Director, DHL Express Thailand and Indochina, said, “Rugby is a sport that symbolizes trust and demonstrates great teamwork and strategy. These are qualities that DHL instills into our employees and want to pass along to the future generations.”
The coaching session took place at the Bangkok Pattana International School field. It has been a tradition to end the training with a friendly autograph session by the visiting international rugby stars. The same day, a celebrity dinner was held at the Centara Grand allowing the ex-players to mingle with rugby fans of all ages.
DHL has been the major sponsor of the club and its activities for six consecutive years.
