Blending style and function, the new Karura violin case weighs in at 3.5 kg (7.7 lb) — a weight similar to a soft case but able to withstand compression loads of up to 950 kg (2,090 lb) - while the dreadnaught guitar case weighs just 5.2 kg (11.4 lb) and withstands loads up to 1,000 kg (2,200 lb).

All Karura cases feature a high-density rubber gasket, stainless steel hinges, and lockable catches that create an impenetrable seal between the two halves of the musician’s flight case. And the crushed-velvet interior is hand-stylized to fit whatever instrument it is designed for.
