Under the VABENE philosophy is to embrace the FUN SIDE OF LIFE, LOVE FOR FASHION, PASSION FOR ART, COMPASSION FOR ENVIROMENT and concerns for global issues all fuse into a watch project. VABENE launches the “Vabene …. Originally Yours Design Contest”. The objective of the competition is
1. To encourage Thai designers to explore new idea promoting their ORIGINALITY and CREATIVITY to global level.
2. To reinforce the creativity of Thai designers that have modernity and fashionable which second to none.
Design Theme
The designer can create a graphic on the dial part of the watch. The style is yours to decide, so be creative and fun!
Qualification of applicant
No matter who you are; University students, New-Face Designers, Social Celebrities, Models, Superstars, Singers, if you are Thai people who LOVE design aged over 18 years old, you will be able to join the contest.
Design application
1. The designer have to create a graphic design on the dial part of Vabene following the Vabene Art collection design which in circle area, size 39mm., and also submitted with your inspiration.
2. Design can use pictures, illustrations, graphics and photographs but are limited to flat surfaces in the given design area. The design should be print or drawn on paper size: A4 (8.5”x11”). There is no limit on no. of design submission.
3. Submitted design must be “original”, belong to the applicant, and must not have been published before. Design must consist of pictures, illustrations, graphics, or photographers with the intent of being published on the Vabene watch for commercialization and sale.
4. Photographer design should be submitted as printed material.
5. Vabene will be responsible for the following with regards to commercialization of designs; design layout, design colors, some arrangement of designs, techniques, watch body and size, sales stores, and period.
6. Application designs and media used by applicants will not be returned.
7. Vabene takes no responsibility for the loss or damage to any design sent.

Submission and Announcement
1. Your designs must be submitted by midnight on August 15, 2009. Please be sure to include your contact information in your submission email: full name, telephone number, email address etc.
2. Results will be announced on the Vabene design contest website on August 31, 2009.
3. The winner will be notified and contact to attend the awards ceremony.
Judging and Winner Selection
Vabene designer, Mr. Giorgio Grimoldi and the honor committees will select by judges appointed. Their decision will be final. No further correspondence shall be entered into. Vabene reserves the right not to select a winner if, in its sole discretion, no suitable entries are received.
Prizes
1st Prize - Winning designer will receive a THB20,000 Cash prize,
The winning watch design will be mass-produced, and will receive major international recognition
2nd Prize - Two second winners will receive a THB10,000 Cash prize.
Notes
1. The winning design and some of the prizewinner’s background and photos may be used for Vabene advertisements and publicity activities.
