Bangkok--24 Jun--SET The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET)’s roadshow, SET in the City, held on June 20 in Korat (aka Nakhon Ratchasima) and nearby provinces, received great attention from the general public, having over 1,000 participants and 430 accounts opened with investment values of THB50 million (approx. USD 1.46 million). The next SET in the City will be in Chiang Mai, on Saturday August 1, revealed SET Chief Marketing Officer, Market & Post-Trade Services Sopawadee Lertmanaschai. “The accounts opened in Korat during the event were for equity, derivatives, gold futures and mutual funds. Most participants were interested in attending the seminars on economic, saving, and investment conditions. They also asked for advice on investment plans from securities companies, asset management companies, and gold-related agents as well as SET group. Over 20 booths provided services. New products, such as gold futures or stock futures, also received great attention,” said Ms. Sopawadee. The achievement of this roadshow indicated that regional investors would like to receive information for prudent decision-making on investment to counteract the recent economic downturn.
