The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) will list Jaymart PCL in the Technology Industry Group and commence trading on June 25, using “JMART” as its trading symbol, said Chief Marketing Officer, Issuer & Listing, Vichate Tantiwanich.
JMART distributes mobile phones and accessories for all mobile types and provides additional telephone-related services, including paypoint and check-claim service. The firm also manages and develops rental space allocation, focusing on mobile phones and technology products under the names IT Junction and J-Venue; and offers debt collection for home, credit card, infrastructure hire purchase, and telephone bills.
JMART has a paid-up registered capital of THB300 million, consisting of 225 million existing common shares and 75 million capital increase shares, both at a par value of THB 1.00 per share. The company raised THB135 million (approx. USD3.9 million) at its initial public offering (IPO) during June 17-18, 2009 by offering 75 million shares to the general public at THB1.80 per share. The company plans to use the funds raised as its working capital to expand its business and repay short-term loans. Asia Plus Securities PCL acted as financial advisor.
JMART’s dividend payment policy is to pay no less than 50% of net profits after taxes and legal reserves. The company’s IPO price reflects a price/earnings (P/E) ratio of 7.21, or approximately 16% discount when comparing to other listed firms having similar sizes and operations with regular operation performance and adequate liquidity (30-day weighted average calculation from April 24 — June9, 2009).
The firm’s major shareholders are Mr. Adisak Sukhumvitaya’s group, Mr. Adisak Naknaowatim, Mr. Boonsong Nimsritrakool, and the company’s board of directors holding 71.20%, 1.76%, 1.67% and 0.74%, respectively.
