Bangkok--29 Jun--SET
The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) will renovate SET group websites so that they will be reference sources covering all investment markets. The new www.settrade.com will be launched on June 29, 2009 and the new www.set.or.th will follow suit on July 8, 2009, Group Head, Market Development Santi Kiranand, Ph.D. revealed.
“SET realized the importance of information on economic and investment conditions. Therefore, we developed www.settrade.com to be the website primarily for investors and www.set.or.th to be for investors and other capital market parties as well”, said Dr. Santi.
www.settrade.com will be a multi-market information center, includes SET, Market for Alternative Investment (mai), Bond Electronic Exchange (BEX), Thailand Futures Exchange PCL (TFEX), The Agricultural Futures Exchange of Thailand (AFET), and mutual funds. The website will provide the last trading prices in each market and basic statistics. Furthermore, it will also provide fund performance ranking by fund type, including equity mutual funds, LTFs and RMFs. The new website will also be an economic information center by providing foreign indices, gold prices, inflation rates, and consumer indices.
In addition, www.settrade.com will be a center of stock analysis and research categorized by markets, as well as articles and research from reliable sources, including brokerages, asset management companies, Kasikorn Research, Fitch Rating, and the National Institute of Development Administration.
www.set.or.th, will serve a wider market, emphasizing fundamental information, e.g., on supervision and regulation, how to trade securities, financial products, member companies, trading and statistics of SET, mai, BEX, and TFEX.
For those who want to learn about investment, SET will renovate www.tsi-thailand.org, providing information on personal finance management and knowledge on new financial products. This will be launched on July 2, 2009
