HP introduced the new members of the HP StorageWorks D2D Backup System family are the D2D2500 and D2D4000 series. These systems are easy-to-use, disk-to-disk (D2D) backup solutions for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), as well as remote and branch offices with limited IT resources and budgets. They automate backup for up to 16 servers, reducing the time to restore lost data from hours to minutes. Both include HP Dynamic Deduplication, increasing the amount of backup data stored without increasing storage capacity by eliminating redundant data from the backup job. Customers can purchase low bandwidth replication that makes remote backup and disaster recovery more affordable.
