Bangkok Bank Chairman Chatri Sophonpanich (seated, right) and China’s Henan Provincial Governor Guo Gengmao (seated, left) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to expand financial co-operation between the bank and Henan province. Also present to witness the event were Executive Chairman Kosit Panpiemras (4th from right), President Chartsiri Sophonpanich (2nd from right), Executive Director and Senior Executive Vice President Prasong Uthaisangchai (3rd from right) and delegates of the Henan provincial government. At present, Bangkok Bank has obtained a license from the Chinese government to set up Bangkok Bank China as a locally-incorporated bank in China with registered capital of RMB 4 billion. The bank’s headquarters will be located in the Bangkok Bank Shanghai Branch Building, and is expected to open for business soon.
