Bangkok--2 Sep--SET
The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) and Kasikorn Bank PCL (KBANK) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the project “Promoting personal finance and investment activities.” These programs will enhance the financial planning abilities of potential and current investors and develop the country’s economic potential.
The project will teach personal finance, management of personal expenses, and managing saving and investment plans to accomplish life goals.
“Our two organizations seek to empower potential and current investors to manage their finances, including creating wealth through prudent investment alternatives that consider the investor’s risks and return profile,” noted SET Executive Director, Market Education Center, Capital Market Development Fund Punsak Vejanurug.
“Promoting personal finance is in line with KBANK’s strategy to focus on providing advisory service to its customers, called K-WePlan. KBANK will support THB1,000,000, provide expert speakers, and support the internship program, allowing students to have hands-on, direct experience with our bank and its associates,” said KBANK Executive Vice President Krisada Lamsam.
The activities in this project include the Young Financial Star Competition (YFS 2009), SET Click2WIN 2009, Wealth Management Program, seminars at SET Corner, and seminars in Employee’s choice campaign.
