Recently, TNT Express Worldwide (Thailand) Co., Ltd. a leading provider of integrated express services from the Netherlands, in cooperation with The Nation Newspaper and Asia News Network Magazine, sponsored an international conference “Asia: Road to New Economy” at Plaza Athenee Hotel Bangkok.
The conference sought to assess the economic situation and to gather creative ideas to improve business and investment in both Thailand and the region. The Thai government’s proposals for the next national development plan were also considered.
The keynote speakers were H.E. Abhisit Vejjajiva Prime Minister of Thailand and Nobel prize winning economist Professor Joseph Stiglitz, from Columbia University.
