Procedures for Media Accreditation to the Bangkok Climate Change Talks

Bangkok--4 Sep--UNISBKK NFCCC Bangkok Climate Change Talks will be held at the United Nations Conference Centre (UNCC), ESCAP, 28 September - 9 October 2009. Bangkok-based journalists who have been accredited by ESCAP will be automatically accredited by UNFCCC to cover the event, and the Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen, 7-18 December. You will need to have your photo taken at the registration counter at UNCC and collect your badge. Registration will open from: Saturday, 26 September to Sunday, 27 September 2009 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, 28 September until Friday, 9 October 2009 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. (please note: the premises are closed on Sunday, 4 October, unless otherwise announced) Please email [email protected] any changes within your news organizations, with names of the individuals, names of the organizations and type of media (news agency, daily paper, periodical, etc). Please also provide a contact telephone and fax number. If you/your news organization have not been accredited to ESCAP before, we may require you to provide the following supporting documentation: 1) A letter of assignment on official letterhead of a media organization signed by the ublisher/Assignment Editor or Bureau Chief, specifying the name and functional title of the journalist. 2) A photocopy of a valid press card/work pass. 3) A photocopy of your passport or personal ID.
