Bangkok--17 Sep--The Japan Foundation
The Japan Foundation is happy to announce that it is soliciting designs for furoshiki productions from students at universities and schools of design overseas with the purpose to educate people overseas about its activities and to showcase the distinctive beauty and practicality of Japan’s traditional everyday goods.
Furoshiki is traditional Japanese cloth used to wrap anything regardless of its shape or size. It is an expression of Japan’s unique “wrapping culture.” With the focus on environmental problems in recent years, furoshiki is attracting renewed attention as it can be used over and over again.
