Impact Exhibition Management and Worldex G.E.C. are celebrating the school holidays by organising “Kids of the World 2009”, an educational playground and exposition for children, from October 1-5 at Hall 5-6 of Impact Exhibition Center, Muang Thong Thani.
It will include many enjoyable activities as well as toys, products and services from sponsors and leading providers, in the expectation of generating at least 20 million baht.
Pornpan Bulner, Assistant Sales Director of Impact Exhibition Management Co Ltd said that Kids of the World 2009 would continue the success of last year’s event by presenting Thailand’s most comprehensive educational playground under the ‘Play & Learn’ concept.
“This year, we’re adding more variety to the activities, products and services, and companies are giving more emphasis to below-the-line activities to promote their good image and strengthen their relations with the target customers directly,” she said.
“We’re expecting to welcome 250-300 exhibitors, or 10-15 per cent more than last year. We hope to stimulate the market for children’s products in the latter half of 2009, and generate a cash flow of more than 20 million baht.
“We’re supported by the Thai Breastfeeding Center, who are providing information on the importance of mother’s milk to children’s development, and there will be a space provided for breastfeeding.”
Kids of the World 2009 will see Hall 5 and 6 of Impact Exhibition Center transformed in to the world of joyful learning for children to have fun with its 10 zones. Activities are focused on encouraging children to have hands-on experience, with a complete range of quality products and services for children and family, including toys, stationery and educational equipment, clothes, schools, healthcare, travel and insurance.
“The highlight activity this year is Heal the World Robotic Challenge 2009 organised by Worldex in collaboration with Impact Exhibition Management and Robot4Kids robot-programming school,” said Nonglak Pattarasakul, Project Manager, Worldex G.E.C. Co Ltd.
“We aim to offer an opportunity for children to express their ideas on how robots could be used to fight global warming. As well as raising their ecological awareness and encouraging them to use technology constructively, the competition will help them think systematically to develop their imagination and concentration.”
Applications to take part in the Challenge are being accepted from now until October 3, 2009. Young people who are interested can find details of the competition and download application forms at www.kidoftheworld.net and www.robot4kids.com
The organizers earlier launched the ‘Second-hand books for children in need’ campaign in cooperation with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration’s
Education Department. The campaign invites the public to donate books to be presented to underprivileged children in the provinces. Donation boxes are available at all 50 Bangkok district administration offices.
